Job Summary

  • The NC Department of Adult Correction is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws.
  • Employees supervise Correctional Sergeant III’s and may serve as the Officer-in Charge in absence of the Captain, assisting in planning and supervising personnel actions, administrative affairs, officers’ work schedules and coordinating activities involving discipline, security, and the welfare of the inmate population.
  • This position is full-time (40 hours per week) with State Benefits and offers a salary range of $45,431.00 - $79,504.00.
