** xAI is seeking a Network Engineer for Planning & Procurement to manage their global backbone and edge network. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in network planning and procurement, with a focus on vendor relationships and financial modeling. **

Job Summary

  • As the lead Network Planning and Procurement engineer, you will own all peering, transit, backbone circuits, dark fiber, IP space and the respective vendor relationships.
  • You will also own the company's strategy, roadmap, approval to leadership and delivery for these aforementioned items from a procurement standpoint.

  • 5+ years in hyper scale environments

  • 5+ years of creating finance models and projections
  • Previous experience in Network Operations/Service Delivery
  • Ability to code in python
  • US citizen or Green Card holder
