Job Summary

  • The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a consultant to conduct a SASA! Together baseline assessment for the PROTECT SRHR project in six districts of West Nile, Uganda.
  • The assessment will gather critical data on knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and practices related to power dynamics, gender equality, and GBV to inform project design and tailor interventions.
  • The consultant will be responsible for developing an inception report, leading data collection, analyzing findings, and facilitating a stakeholder validation workshop.

Key Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Gender Studies, or related field

  • Proven proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis, and reporting
  • Experience with the SASA! Together methodology or similar community mobilization approaches
  • Strong understanding of Uganda's socio-cultural and political context regarding GBV, SRHR, and gender equality
  • Demonstrated ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Commitment to ethical research practices and safeguarding standards
  • Proficiency in English, knowledge of local languages is an advantage
