Job Summary
The cook is responsible for managing and operating the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
Essential duties include maintaining a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary kitchen and cooking area, preparing tasteful meals in large quantities, and following prepared menus and portion control guides.
The role requires the ability to prepare special diets accurately, record food temperatures, prepare pureed foods, and work in cooperation with personnel in all departments.
