The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families, physicians and other health team members and maintains documentation of services in the medical records.
Essential duties include evaluating patients within twenty-four (24) hours of physician referral, developing effective treatment plans, and treating patients per the physician's plan.
The role requires recording evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification documentation per state practice act and payer requirements.
