The G52/G53/G54 Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) provides exceptional, evidence-based care to patients requiring acute perioperative management or experiencing complex post-operative complications.
A caregiver who excels in this role will provide direct nursing care, implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans, monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions, administer prescribed medications and treatments, note and carry out physician and nursing orders, assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs, and educate patients and their families.
