Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides individualized patient care that assesses and treats speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders in children and adults per physician referral.
The Speech Language pathologist is responsible to evaluate referred patients, establish patient and family centered goals and develop and execute treatment plans to promote or maximize independence in the discharged setting.

Key Requirements
Master’s Degree, Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), ASHA
Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders
Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies
Certificate of Clinical Competence, America Speech-Language-Hearing Association, (required) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
Licensure in Speech Pathology-Michigan (required) or temporary license during the CFY (required)
