It is the responsibility of the cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
The cook must maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner and prepare tasteful meals following menus and portion control guides.
The position requires participation in orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff and reporting resident care concerns to management.

Key Requirements

Minimum one year cook experience in hospital or long term care
Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate

Must remain in good standing with Department of Public Health
