** FHI 360 is seeking six Community Technical Officers for a nutrition-focused project in Mozambique, aimed at improving community health outcomes through education and intervention. The role involves implementing community-based nutrition strategies, collaborating with health facilities, and supporting local partners in nutrition initiatives. **

Job Summary

  • The Community Technical Officer will lead and support the implementation of community-based nutrition interventions, focusing on improving nutrition outcomes through community mobilization, education, prevention, early identification of malnutrition, referral, and follow-up.
  • The role will strengthen linkages between communities and Primary Health Care (PHC) services, support sub-partners and community structures, and contribute to the implementation of a community nutrition strategy aligned with national guidelines and project objectives.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, Midwifery, Medicine, or related health field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in nutrition
  • Demonstrated experience in community-based nutrition programming
  • Experience in supervising program staff and/or community-based workers
  • Familiarity with national nutrition and MNCH guidelines
  • Prior work experience in Nampula and/or Zambezia province
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Portuguese
