Job Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) is a registered nurse who oversees and supervises the care of all residents, also providing direct resident/patient care.
Responsibilities include overall management of the nursing department, developing policies, ensuring resident safety, recruiting and training staff, and managing department budgets.
The role requires coordination with other departments, participation in QA and surveys, and conducting employee appraisals.
