Job Summary

  • The Senior Investigator role sits within The Central Complaints & Investigations team and is responsible for the full range of complaints & investigations to all teams of the RMIT University Group.
  • Lead and manage complex investigations involving students, staff and members of the public, and provide expert reports and insights to the Associate Director.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering professional complaints and investigation management solutions
  • Experience managing cases of misconduct (fraud, corruption, bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, disputes, grievances, theft & conflict of interest)
  • Understanding of unfair dismissals, general protections claims, ill and injured workers, and managing performance impacts
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust
  • Proven ability in the use of a range of computer applications
  • Proven experience as an investigator or conducting case management as part of a HR Business Partnering or Employee Relations role
