Job Summary

  • Assist in managing hospital capacity operations within the MGH Capacity Coordination Center, acting as a liaison between clinical and administrative staff to ensure timely and clinically appropriate patient placement.
  • Monitor all aspects of a real-time hospital census, working with patient care units to ensure correct admission, discharge, and transfer information is reflected in Epic.
  • Facilitate outside hospital transfers by connecting referring physicians with appropriate MGH physicians and providing rapid, professional response to all parties involved.
