Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the long-term care facility.
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician, verifying resident identity and ensuring prescribed medication is not administered to another resident.
Participate in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes to ensure a well-educated nursing service department.
