Job Summary

  • Assist and learn to perform work involved with the installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal, and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities.
  • Learn and apply all AEP, Operating Company, and Site-Specific Safety rules to perform assigned duties.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays and respond to callouts in both outage and non-outage work.

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled in a 2-year Lineman Program
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Eligible to acquire CDL
  • Recommended HireVue Line Worker Virtual Job Tryout results
