Job Summary
Assist and learn to perform work involved with the installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal, and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities.
Learn and apply all AEP, Operating Company, and Site-Specific Safety rules to perform assigned duties.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays and respond to callouts in both outage and non-outage work.

Climb poles, towers, and ladders
Work with overhead and underground facilities
Use hand lines and tie knots
Splice primary and secondary wires
Inspect rubber gloves and insulating blankets
Operate company vehicles and equipment

Willingness to work overtime and holidays
Key Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Currently enrolled in a 2-year Lineman Program
Maintain a 3.0 GPA
Valid state driver's license
Eligible to acquire CDL
