Job Summary
Valmet (Automation Systems Business Line) provides total power plant and process automation as well as controls and measurement solutions for the paper making industry, amongst others.
You will be involved in the delivery of projects, maintenance and breakdown services to Valmet’s UK installed base customers within the Paper Making, Power Generation, Process industries, Minerals and the Marine sectors.
We offer you the opportunity to join a team which supports Valmet’s customers throughout the UK and Ireland in a variety of pulp, paper and energy producing industries.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Industrial Instrument Technician/Mechanician
supporting customers in pulp & paper
fault find / repair pneumatic circuits
understand analog and digital signal retransmissions
process control experience
Control loop PID control knowledge
Nice-to-have
good working knowledge of industrial automation systems
experience with on-line and offline analysers
identifying business opportunities at customers’ sites
fluent in English both written and verbal
other languages are a plus
Key Requirements
minimum 5 years’ experience
full UK drivers license
work with small hand tools
remove/repair/replace system components
understand how electrical circuits work
HNC / HND level in a relevant Engineering discipline
