JLG Industries is seeking a Principal Engineer - Controls to lead the development and implementation of advanced vehicle control strategies for various applications, including engine, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with experience in vehicle control systems, and will play a crucial role in mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams

Job Summary

  • Responsible for the technical completion of a project or part of a project of moderate complexity and managing the controls schedule for the project.
  • Responsible for vehicle system controls research, development, verification and validation, testing and production implementation.
  • Responsible for developing control strategies in a virtual simulation environment using modeling tools or hardware-in-the-loop simulators and transferring simulated strategies to vehicle testing and eventual production implementation.
