Gvhvet is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians in a variety of tasks, including animal care, surgical assistance, and client education.   • The Veterinary Technician/Assistant will be responsible for assisting the practice with a variety of duties including but not limited to: Assisting veterinarians during exams, surgeries and other medical procedures; monitoring and caring for animals before, during and after procedures Handling and restraining animals in a calm and compassionate manner.

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience as a veterinary technician/assistant

  • able to stand for long periods
  • able to lift 40 pounds alone
  • reliable transportation
