Job Summary

  • As a Speech Pathologist, your empathy, compassion, and exceptional evaluation abilities lead to rehabilitative treatment programs that restore or improve patients’ optimal level of function, independence, and quality of life.
  • Perform a complete initial evaluation of the referred patient; develop and implement treatment plans, including appropriate short- and long-term goals; involve the patient, family, and staff in the implementation of the treatment program.
  • Actively participate in rehabilitation team efforts to meet patient needs, including counseling and teaching patient and family, discussing changes in treatment programs with MDs, coordinating healthcare plans with other involved professionals and assisting in discharge planning as appropriate.
