Must-have

  • Operating stationary and portable sandblasting equipment
  • Applying paint, varnish, lacquer, and shellac coatings
  • Knowledge of OSHA, SPCC, EPA, SSPC, and NACE regulations
  • Safe positioning of work pieces and blasting nozzles
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces

Nice-to-have

  • Assisting lower level painters with technical guidance
  • Training apprentices as a painter or sandblaster
  • Experience in shipyard environment painting
  • Providing support to higher level painters

Key Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Eight years directly related work experience
  • Valid State motor vehicle operator license
  • Completion of Vehicle Body Repair Course
  • U.S. Citizen status required
  • Ability to obtain Common Access Card (CAC)
