Job Summary
It is the responsibility of the cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
The cook must maintain the kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner and prepare tasteful meals including special diets accurately.
The cook will assist with serving meals, report resident care concerns, and participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.

Key Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year cooking experience in hospital or long term care
Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate
Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred
Must remain in good standing with Department of Public Health
