Job Summary

  • The person serving in the Tax Counsel / Senior Tax Counsel position will provide tax planning advice and support on a wide variety of income and other tax matters affecting Chevron’s businesses and will report to a Houston-based General Manager in Chevron’s Corporate Tax group.
  • Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Providing tax planning advice and support for various of Chevron’s domestic and international upstream, downstream and midstream businesses, with a primary focus on U.S. federal income taxation.
  • An extensive understanding of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and the Treasury Regulations promulgated thereunder is a necessity, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills, tax research skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with peers and varied groups of stakeholders.
