Job Summary
The Relief Residential Counsellor will plan and implement individualized, goal-centered programs for adults with developmental disabilities within Lawson Ministries Programs.
This role requires promoting greater independence and ensuring the physical needs of service users are met through home maintenance, meal preparation, and personal care.
Candidates must possess a valid Ontario Class G Driver's license, access to their own vehicle, and be willing to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnights.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Developmental Social Worker Diploma or equivalent
Valid Ontario Class G Driver's license
Current First Aid & CPR certification
Non Violent Physical Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification
Experience working with vulnerable populations
Nice-to-have
Medication administration training and experience
Lift and transfer training and experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to develop therapeutic relationships
Understanding of psychological dynamics
Key Requirements
Completion of two-year post-secondary program in Developmental Social Work or Human Services
Minimum one year of experience with adults with developmental disabilities
Original Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector screening
Willingness to obtain CPI and CPR certifications upon hiring if not current
