Job Summary

  • Perform cleaning work on the coal conveyor system, such as bunkers, runways, trip room, belt decks, barge unloading equipment, coal docks and barges, tunnels and work areas.
  • Load, unload and handle coal, materials, supplies and equipment; where required, couple and uncouple railroad cars; set and release brakes, operate rail switches; signal locomotive operator when to start, stop, go forward or backward; and flag traffic at crossings.
