Job Summary

  • The primary focus is to ensure that all data management processes and controls are completed to ensure that timely and accurate data is available within the daily cycle of investments systems and ready to be used by business consumers.
  • The role requires strong analytical skills coupled with investment operations knowledge, oversight, data governance and stewardship.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading data initiatives to support new business requirements, data enhancements and solutioning for internal partners and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • University degree in Mathematics, Commerce & Finance or equivalent experience
  • Completion of CFA and Canadian Securities Course an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Data Operations, back and/or middle office and/or in an investment and financial systems administration
  • Knowledge of data management principles and practices
  • Experience using a Master Data Management tool is an asset
  • Knowledge of investment data domains
  • Knowledge of investment and risk analytics across asset classes
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving ability
  • Experience with or willingness to learn ODBC report writers
  • Experience with SQL queries is an asset
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including excel spreadsheets with real time links and access databases
  • Experience with Azure DevOps an asset
