Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Conduct patient registration and insurance verification
  • Perform preliminary physical tests and vital signs
  • Process co-pays and schedule appointments
  • Maintain medical records and scan charts

Nice-to-have

  • Front desk experience preferred
  • Experience in hospital or urgent care setting
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred
  • BLS certification from ARC or AHA required
  • One of several MA certifications (CCMA, CMA, RMA, etc.) OR 1+ years experience
  • CPOE certification required within two weeks of start date
  • In lieu of certification: Nursing graduate, LPN, RN, EMT, or CNA
