Looking for your next shore-based challenge? COENS Energy is partnering with a major Singapore-based ship owner/manager to secure a high-caliber Marine Manager. This isn't just about compliance; it’s about taking the helm of fleet integrity and operational excellence. We need a seasoned Master Mariner with the commercial acumen to drive performance across a specialized tanker asset. Core Strategic PillarsDirect the implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS). You will lead the charge in ensuring the fleet exceeds international and local compliance benchmarks, moving beyond mere "compliance" to "operational excellence." Drive the vessel vetting strategy, maintaining high-tier status on the OCIMF SIRE platform. You will serve as the strategic bridge between the technical desk, charterers, and terminals to ensure zero-harm and zero-downtime. Provide expert marine oversight on navigation and cargo machinery. You are responsible for ensuring that technical standards meet the rigorous demands of global oil majors and terminal operators. Mentor and evaluate senior sea-staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth. You will act as a pivotal member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), providing calm, decisive leadership during critical incidents. Own and optimize the Marine Department’s P&L. You will be expected to deliver cost-effective operational solutions without compromising the safety or integrity of the assets. The Ideal Profile:Must hold a CoC Class 1 or 2 (Master Mariner) with a distinguished seagoing career. A minimum of 7 years in a senior shore-based capacity, specifically managing Product or Chemical tankers. Comprehensive knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC, and the evolving landscape of international maritime pollution-prevention regulations. Exceptional stakeholder management skills. You must be able to influence sea-staff, negotiate with P&I insurers, and present clearly to the Executive Management team
