Job Summary

  • Support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) performing design engineering, cost estimating, scheduling, coordinating, inspecting, and acceptance for air traffic control facilities.
  • Plan and design a variety of facility establishment, replacement and modernization projects including buildings, roofing, antenna towers, site work, structural systems, seismic reinforcement, foundations and environmental assessments.
  • Perform project management related tasks and communication, including safety plans, sequence of work, cutover plans, risk management plans, lead and asbestos work permits, and lead on-site coordination meetings, inspections, cutovers, testing and restoration of facilities.

Key Requirements

  • Engineering degree from ABET accredited college or university
  • Eight or more years of experience in design and construction of commercial or institutional facilities
  • Masters degree and six+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient knowledge of building codes
  • Proficiency in engineering analysis and design software tools
  • Ability to create and edit project drawings in AutoCAD
  • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability
