We are seeking an experienced MidSeniorlevel Unix Administrator with strong VMware expertise to join our environment build and infrastructure operations team The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering maintaining and optimizing UnixLinux systems as well as managing virtualized environments on VMware vSphere This role requires experts with handson technical skills the ability to work independently on complex issues and strong collaboration with crossfunctional teams in an enterprise environment Key Responsibilities Install configure and administer UnixLinux servers primarily RHEL in production and nonproduction environments Manage and support VMware vSphere infrastructure including ESXi hosts vCenter Server clusters resource pools and virtual networking Perform system monitoring performance tuning and capacity planning for UnixLinux and VMware platforms Implement and maintain security hardening patching and compliance standards CIS STIG internal controls Troubleshoot complex hardware OS virtualization networking and storage issuesincluding applicationtodatabase connectivity problems Manage file systems storage allocations disk partitioning LVM configurations volume expansions and mountpoint restructuring Automate operational tasks using Bash Python Perl or configuration management tools Ansible preferred Maintain and improve backup snapshot and disaster recovery strategies for Unix and VMware environments Partner with application database and DevOps teams to support deployments upgrades and system migrations Document architecture configurations SOPs and troubleshooting procedures Participate in oncall rotation and provide afterhours support when required Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field 5 years of handson experience in UnixLinux system administration 3 years of handson experience with VMware vSphere ESXi and vCenter Strong understanding of networking concepts TCPIP DNS NFS etc Experien
