The Town of Milton is seeking a Manager for Data Architecture & Application Services to oversee the development and administration of enterprise applications, ensure data security, and lead a team focused on delivering integrated solutions. The role requires extensive experience in database management, enterprise applications, and project management, particularly within a municipal or government context

Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for the entire system development lifecycle for all Town Enterprise applications, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Web services and database systems.
  • The role requires working closely with stakeholders across the Corporation, leading and directing the Data Architecture & Application Services team to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support integrated and analytic solutions.
  • This position is eligible for an annual salary range of $122,588 - $153,234, a comprehensive benefit package, and eligibility to participate in the OMERS pension plan.

Key Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Database Management
  • 5+ years of experience with leading and directing the implementation and administration of multiple Oracle and SQL Server databases
  • 3+ years of experience with implementing and administering client-server and web-based application infrastructure
  • Extensive experience with enterprise applications (CMIC Financials, Workday, AMANDA, GIS, SharePoint)
  • Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Microsoft SQL Server
  • Diploma in Project Management
