Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Oversee patients in Fluids, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Isolation Wards
  • Manage pre and post-operative cases across multiple specialties
  • Perform IVC placement, urinary catheter placement, and venipuncture
  • Administer medications and conduct lab work submissions
  • Triage inpatients including physical assessments and pain management
  • Instruct veterinary students on clinical procedures

Nice-to-have

  • Passionate about caring for animals in critical moments
  • Strong critical thinking skills for emergency situations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
  • Experience with EMR systems like INSTINCT and CUREATR
  • Willingness to assist with emergency pick ups and ICU transfers

Key Requirements

  • Board eligible within 3 months (0-1 years experience)
  • CVT certification required for 1+ years experience levels
  • VTS or additional certifications required for 8+ years experience
  • Must be able to lift 25+ pounds with assistance
  • Flexible availability for 10 and 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
