Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • 10+ years professional software engineering experience
  • Direct hands-on IMS TM and DB application development
  • Deep knowledge of PSB, PCB, and DBD structures
  • Strong proficiency in C or C++ systems languages
  • Experience with DL/I calls and hierarchical database access

Nice-to-have

  • Background implementing IMS exit routines and user exits
  • Experience with mainframe modernization or emulation technologies
  • Familiarity with COBOL or PL/I application semantics
  • Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Kubernetes cloud architectures
  • Experience building compilers, runtimes, or compatibility layers

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior-level system ownership
