Job Summary

  • This role will lead the use of PAT as an enhanced control strategy solution in a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
  • You will be responsible for leading the introduction of several PAT instruments, ensuring they are maintained and operated in accordance with cGMP.
  • Build PAT capability and experience within APICOM through the training and coaching of colleagues.

Must-have

  • Process Analytical Technology (PAT) development
  • PAT solutions for drug substance manufacturing
  • Spectroscopic techniques (NIR, MIR, Raman, UV/Vis, FBRM)
  • Chemometrics for PAT
  • cGMP for drug substance manufacturing
  • Siemens SIPAT superuser experience

Nice-to-have

  • Managing change in regulated manufacturing
  • Developing quantitative multivariate models
  • Coding skills in MATLAB or Python
  • Technical supervision and mentoring
  • Introducing new analytical technologies

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or PhD in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or chemical engineering
  • Proven record for developing and delivering drug substance control strategies using PAT
  • Significant practical experience with major PAT spectroscopic techniques
  • Strong data-centric mindset with proven ability in chemometrics
  • Thorough understanding of SHE and cGMP principles
