Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Wound Care Technician to assist with patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of direct patient care experience and must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire

Job Summary

  • Assists physicians with technical and minor surgical procedures, including local surgical procedures, advanced surgical application and removal of wound dressings and contact casts, compression therapy, ultrasonic debridement, sharp debridement and biopsies.
  • Performs point of care testing and quality control of designated lab test glucose monitoring, and monitors blood glucose levels using blood glucose monitor.
