Job Summary
The Clinical Lab Svcs Technician provide histological services to the Dermatology Department physicians performing MOHS surgeries and additional support to the histology laboratory.
Histology duties involve logging-in specimens to the computer, processing, embedding, frozen sections, sorting, cutting, filing, reagent preparation, special stains and staining slides of tissue samples.
Additional duties involve general paperwork, equipment maintenance, assisting with quality control and assurance metrics, procedural audits, accreditation preparation, training and troubleshoot both mechanical and human errors and/or malfunctions.
