Job Summary

• This appointment is for a Research Technician position to provide technical support for the comparison/evaluation of blood samples from Ontario and BC on various Lyme serology assays.
• Tasks include sample receiving, aliquoting, sample storage, experimental design, performing experimental assays/procedures relating to research on California serogroup virus related mosquito surveillance and assay development by employing molecular biology techniques and analysis software.
• The applicant will report to the principal investigator and the Technical Coordinator on the project, and they will work with a broad team of scientists at BCCDC Public Health Laboratory (PHL), UBC, and a number of healthcare and academic collaborators.
