Job Summary

  • The Engineer/Scientist QC 1 will make an impact by performing fit-for-purpose testing, following operating procedures, in support of manufacturing including in-line and finished product release testing using various analytical techniques.
  • Prepare standards and samples for analysis and run instrumentation with minimum supervision, as needed.
  • The position is based in Fair Lawn, NJ, and will support the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD)/Laboratory Analytical Reagents (LAR) Business Unit.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of industry or other relevant market experience
  • Hands-on experience with wet chemistry and basic Analytical instruments
  • Familiarity with Analytical test methods including ACS, USP/NF, EP/BP, JP, FCC
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) with attention to detail
  • Effective problem-solving abilities using Lean methods
