Job Summary

  • This job provides emergency medical care to the sick and injured patients in the prehospital and hospital environment; effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of emergency medical care.
  • Performs basic and advanced EMS skills which include interventions and administration of medications and vaccines with basic and advanced equipment found on an EMS vehicle or within an AEMT's scope of practice.
  • Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provide advanced life support and transport to the critically ill and injured in the prehospital setting.
