Job Summary

  • The NC Department of Adult Correction is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws.
  • This position will be a main point of contact providing targeted support for struggling students in core behavioral, academic, and social-emotional areas to students in pursuit of attaining a high school equivalency diploma.

Key Requirements

  • Sixth-Year Advanced degree or above in School Psychology
  • NC Professional Educator’s License (Class Code S or D)
  • Experience administering relevant assessments
  • Experience using effective oral and written communication
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Experience providing technology-based productivity applications
