Key Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Minimum age 21 and U.S. citizenship
Utah POST Category 1 certification or enrollment in a certified academy
Valid Utah Driver License with clean driving record
No convictions for serious criminal, traffic, drug, or domestic violence offenses
Successful completion of background check, physical exam, and fitness test
Certification in CPR and Intoxilyzer
Completion of Basic Accident Investigation and SFST
