  • The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the College of Education and Health Professions (COEHP) centralized accounting team, determining appropriate workloads, monitoring the flow of Workday transactions, and overseeing the entry of state, grant, and foundation requisitions, travel claims, personal reimbursements, payment authorizations, budget amendments, etc.
  • Key operational responsibilities include financial oversight, specialized billing & registrations, reporting, and training & development for new accounting staff and departmental administrators.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, general business or related field or experience equivalency
  • At least four years of experience in fiscal operations
  • At least two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
  • Master's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • At least three or more years of experience supervising/managing a team of employees preferred
  • Direct experience with grant and/or contract awards and proposals, university endowment accounting, and state and university procurement policies and procedures preferred
  • Experience with Workday, Quickbooks, Smartsheets or other ERP financial systems preferred
