Job Summary

  • Create, coordinate, and plan a variety of aquatic programs, classes, and activities while managing the day-to-day operations of a municipal indoor pool.
  • Partner with other Aquatic Coordinators to deliver swimming lessons, water fitness classes, and lifeguard in-services, modeling behaviors and requirements for lifeguards.
  • The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience, with a hiring range of $25.30/hour - $28.00/hour, plus generous benefits including a lifelong monthly pension.

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience instructing in organized aquatic programs
  • Current Lifeguard Training certification
  • Current CPR and AED Certifications for Professional Rescuers
  • Current First Aid Certification
  • Lifeguard Instructor Certification (prior to probationary period completion)
  • First Aid Instructor Certification (prior to probationary period completion)
  • Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator Certification (prior to probationary period completion)
