Job Summary

  • The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the safety of MRI patients and others in the MRI environment while performing high-quality imaging examinations.
  • Candidates will receive a generous sign-on bonus of $10,000.00 for full-time positions upon joining the team at Martha's Vineyard Hospital.
  • The position requires making technical and medical decisions to produce the best quality achievable imaging while adhering to MGH protocols.

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • MRI patient screening and safety protocols
  • GE 1.5 Tesla scanner operation knowledge
  • IV contrast administration competence
  • CPR certification by American Heart Association
  • Patient positioning and transfer assistance

Nice-to-have

  • Experience reassuring claustrophobic patients
  • Strong communication with referring physicians
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical scanner issues
  • Positive technologist-patient relationship building

Key Requirements

  • ARRT-R Registered Technologist license required
  • ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging license required
  • 2 years experience as an MRI Technologist
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must maintain current CPR certification
