Job Summary

  • Performs microscopic screening of gynecologic, non-gynecologic, and Fine Needle Aspirate (FNA) slide preparations, for the detection of precancerous and cancerous conditions.
  • Provides assistance and adequacy assessment of Fine Needle Aspirate procedures.
  • The starting hourly rate for this position is $31.99/hr with an additional geographic differential of $12.00/hr.

Key Requirements

  • Possession of a full license to practice as a Cytotechnologist in the State of New York; or Eligibility for full licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology; or Bachelor’s degree with a one (1) year course of study at an accredited school of Cytotechnology
  • Full license eligible incumbents must obtain and maintain the full Cytotechnologist licensure in the State of New York within six (6) months of their appointment
