Job Summary
This position is responsible for operating machining centers and creating complex CNC programs using SurfCAM software.
The Machinist V must be able to identify fixturing needs, edit programs to increase productivity, and troubleshoot operational deficiencies.
Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of CNC machining experience or specific SurfCAM programming experience along with additional milling experience.

Must-have
Mastercam Programming Software proficiency
SurfCAM software for complex programs
4th and 5th axis machining operations
Manual and CNC machine operation
Blueprint and MIL-SPEC interpretation
Night shift availability (6pm-6:30am)
Troubleshooting and emergency repairs
Nice-to-have
Ability to train less experienced machinists
Experience with estimating labor times
Strong communication with management
Multi-tasking in fast-paced environment
Assisting with first piece verification
Key Requirements
Minimum 15 years CNC machining experience
High School Diploma or trade school certificate
Ability to obtain government security clearance
Pass drug and background screening
15+ years manual machining may substitute for CNC
