Job Summary

  • We are looking for an experienced responsible or project pump engineer for our Lunar Lander for NASA’s Artemis mission to lead the design and development of clean sheet pumps for various water, coolant and propellant systems.
  • As the owner of their cryogenic pump, the Responsible Engineer will lead the development, design, analysis, and testing of cryogenic pumps for Blue Origin lunar vehicles for some of the most advanced space vehicles.

Key Requirements

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related technical subject area
  • 5+ years of experience in complete pump design
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee pump development project
  • Good verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Willingness to work on-site with occasional travel
  • Experience in 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred)
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools (ANSYS preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in pump design
  • Experience integrating pumps in space vehicle applications
  • Experience working with high-speed submerged motors
  • Experience in engineering analysis/support for disposition of Non-Conformance (NC)
