Geisinger is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery team at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. The role involves assisting in surgeries, managing ICU patients, and performing some clinic duties, with a strong support system from a distinguished cardiology group.

Job Summary
This role is split between practicing as first assistant in the operating room including endoscopic vein harvesting, ICU management with advanced life sustaining device management such as ECMO and LVAD, and some clinic time.
The surgery team is strongly supported by an equally distinguished cardiology group providing a full range of services, including advanced EP, structural heart disease procedures, cardio-oncology and heart failure.

Eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants
Eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine
Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners
Eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
Acute care certification required
Certified to work with all patient population age groups
