We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Head of Chemical Trading (Proprietary Trading) to lead trading activities across a portfolio of liquid petrochemical products, including LPG, olefins, polypropylene, and related derivatives. This is a full P&L ownership role, responsible for developing trading strategies, managing market exposure, and driving profitable growth across physical and financial markets. Key ResponsibilitiesLead proprietary trading activities across liquid chemical products (LPG, olefins, polypropylene, downstream derivatives) with full P&L responsibility Develop and execute independent trading strategies across physical and financial markets to optimise returns Originate and source physical cargoes through established industry networks to expand trading flow and market share Analyse global market fundamentals, supply-demand dynamics, pricing trends, and geopolitical developments to support trading decisions Manage trading positions, exposures, and risk within approved risk frameworks Design and implement hedging and arbitrage strategies using futures, swaps, and options Work closely with operations, shipping, finance, and risk teams to ensure smooth execution, logistics, and settlement Identify new trading opportunities across the chemical value chain and develop long-term commercial relationships Prepare trading performance reports and market analysis for senior management Support ad-hoc trading or strategic initiatives as required RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Finance, Business, Trading, or related discipline Minimum 5+ years of experience in proprietary trading or physical trading of chemicals, energy, or commodities Strong exposure to Asian / China petrochemical markets is highly preferred Established trading network with proven ability to originate and scale trading books independently Strong understanding of chemical fundamentals, supply chains, and commodity pricing mechanisms Knowledge of derivatives (futures, swaps,
