Key Requirements

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience leading others
  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • Scripting proficiency (Python, NodeJS, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of broadcast control room equipment and cabling
  • Proficient in SMPTE standards (ST 292M, ST 424M, ST 2110, etc.)
  • Knowledge of on-prem and cloud storage/compute platforms
  • Foundational cloud certification (Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Cloud+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate)
  • Knowledge of compression techniques (MPEG2/4, HEVC, JPEG 2000, JPEG XS)
  • Knowledge of Evertz software control systems
  • Knowledge of major media systems and vendors
  • Ability to create/interpret AutoCAD drawings
  • Proficiency in Perl, Python, Ruby, Shell, C or C++
  • Advanced track record designing/building IP-based broadcast equipment
  • Knowledge of file-based workflows and Media Asset Management systems
  • Knowledge of production control systems
  • Knowledge of transmission systems
  • Knowledge of AWS Infrastructures and cloud-based technologies
