This role serves as the founding reliability voice for Project Volcano, an internal developer platform driven by the Office of the CTO.
The successful candidate will architect multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure and establish comprehensive GitOps and CI/CD backbones from the ground up.
You will partner directly with engineering leadership to define SLOs, error budgets, and a blameless postmortem culture for all Volcano services.

Must-have
Staff or Principal IC level experience
Deep Kubernetes expertise and multi-tenant design
GitOps with ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform
Managed PostgreSQL cluster operations
Observability implementation with Datadog
Nice-to-have
Experience with serverless compute architectures
Knowledge of vector databases and AI-native infra
Mentoring engineers on reliability principles
Background in edge deployment pipelines
Key Requirements
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Substantial experience at Staff or Principal IC level
