Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • HV/EHV cable system design experience
  • FEED experience required
  • National Grid or regulated environment experience
  • Cable rating and system studies expertise
  • Knowledge of IEC and CIGRÉ standards

Nice-to-have

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
  • NG Certified CDAE certification
  • Experience with subsea control solutions
  • FAT/SAT support capabilities
  • Multidisciplinary coordination skills

Key Requirements

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
  • Strong experience in HVAC and HVDC cable designs
  • Proficiency with CYMCAP, WinCable, AutoCAD, and Revit
  • Experience in Quality, Inspection & Test (QIT)
  • Understanding of cable burial risk assessments
